Thank you, Jaap. I had to compromise a bit on the framing and the rule of nines to avoid including some fence poles that would have clashed with the color scheme, but in the end I like it that the tree canopy takes up more of the frame than the rest and the city scape is just a counterpoint.

Thank you, ROL. Your description of the row of houses also fits the fact that this area of town was historically a "plebeian quarter" where dwellings were more utilitarian and unpretentious. Not anymore, really, since these days a single apartment in one of these "rabbit cages" facing the river can cost several hundred thousand euros :)

Thank you, Roger! I bike along this route every morning to get to work. This was the first day in a long time that we had some sunshine and it just happened to coincide with the full display of the gingko' fall color ... Long story short, I ended up being late at work ;)
