A pretty collage on the street. Oh my, you live in the most wonderful city, Annalia!

Thank you, Diane. Yes, Florence is really beautiful and yet ... as you can see, I am seldom drawn to take photos of the famous tourist highlights and seem to prefer to capture the more humble beauty of everyday life. I do have some shots of the city that I took in the past, though, and will try to dig them out to post here. Thank you for your visit and for the nice comments!

Haha - I have my own "tourist shots," which make me miss Florence terribly when I see them. I loved that city (and Siena!) so much and know I will never see it again. I happen to live in a small town with no beautiful architecture or artworks, no gorgeous landscape, so my gallery is mostly ordinary things! I've learned to like the ordinary. ;-)

Siena is indeed an incredible town, still almost as it was in medieval times. I go there occasionally for work and always try to get there a bit early to take a stroll through down town. I hope you are just being pessimistic about visiting again ... one can never tell where life takes us!

Oh, Siena was like heaven to me! No, I don't think it's pessimism, just practicality. Medical issues, and so on... But, I will dream of Florence and Siena forever! ;-)
