Wow - it took a while for me to see the farmhouse, but it fits in the landscape wonderfully. I wonder why they decided to build there - it's not as if there is a lot of arable land around is there? A superb picture. I hope you are continuing to get better.

Thank you, Jenny. I don't think it's lived in these days; maybe a local farmer uses it for storage. Probably they did grow some hardy crops and kept goats but I don't really know!

I was under doctor's orders to have gentle exercise but I got lost and ended up having to climb over the mountains to get back to the town and my bus. I've never been so tired on a walk and the extra distance meant I ran out of water too soon so that when I finally got back to the town of Manzanares el Real I sank too many cold beers and couldn't walk back to the bus stop so had to call my girlfriend to come out all the way from Madrid and collect me.
She was fortunately very understanding as she put it down to my new medications!

c'est vrai, pour répondre à ton com sur ma dernière photo, que c'est assez cher tous ces voyages mais ma sœur se prive toute l'année de beaucoup de choses pour s'offrir ces voyages qu'elle fait depuis ses 18 ans et elle en a à présent 71 ans. elle a parcouru beaucoup de pays du Monde et fait d'innombrables photos... c'est sa passion ! merci de ta présence ! belle journée ! portes-toi bien ! My French school exchange pasrtner of many years ago (we are still in contact) used to do the same. He would work very hard for 6 or 9 months in mental hospitals doing the work that not many people liked to do and then be free to travel the rest of the year! It suited him perfectly! Sounds as though your sister and my friend share the same mindset!

Look on 'full screen' and it's half way down a little to the right of centre. There are some trees in the farmyard. Hope that helps.

I don't know when this farm was last lived in but I can only envisage a life of extreme hardship and i'm not surprised it is no longer lived in (at least as far as I know!)

I finally spied the farmhouse but had to press z to do it. No wonder it is lonely! Anybody would have quite a hike to get there and roast once they were there. It is a very interesting place for a farm. I'm wondering what they would have produced there? makes a great picture anyway!
