I tried to find out whether this park was created on the site of an old olive orchard, or if the old trees had been specifically brought in from olive tree farms down south (there is a big business in old olive trees for both ornamental and municipal plantings and for the export market - The UK imports quite a lot; I've seen them INSIDE office buildings in the City, for example). No one seemed to know the answer but I suspect the latter is the case. Either way they do look good!

It amazes me how tenacious olive trees are, staying alive even with half its trunk gone. That one is a beauty...and that skinny one next to it! This shot is nicely done, Andy.
