A walk at Christmas is essential!

Ok, this was nearly 24 hours after the Christmas dinner (which in Spain is on Christmas Eve), but just as welcome and necessary. The Sierra de Guadarrama on the skyline. At the right of the shot can be seen peaks with the wonderful names of The Evil One and The Dead Woman!

La Mujer Muerta (The Dead Woman) because from certain angles, the mountain shape is exactly like that of a dead woman under a shroud (sounds strange, and it is, but it is also true!). La Maliciosa (the evil one - feminine) probably because of the difficulty of getting up it; the slopes are steep, gravelly and covered with impenetrable cistus. A path has recently been cut but it is still at the upper end of scrambling difficulty due to the very loose stones underfoot!

I would love Mere even if Yapp Bros, weren't there! ... and I loved your Mere collage, Rosa! Not the same but equally magical in my book!
