Yes, I had a succession of great sunrises at that time (sunsets occurred at the back of my block of flats and I didn't see them!)
But these were exceptional and I guess it wasn't just that I had the opportunity of capturing them ... I suspect that the inreased volcanic activity of the preceding 2-3 years (Iceland, Sumatra, etc) and ensuing increase in volcanic dust particles in the earth's atmosphere had much to do with it.

Awesome. Wish I'd get a few of those.

I used to get these about once a fortnight Dave! I didn't get blasé about it, I knew I was fortunate. But I can't remember the last time I saw a decent sunset, let alone a dawn!

The fiery orange and red colours mix well with the blue to make a really apocalyptic sky! The silhouetted building are just lovely. A magnificent sunrise shot Andy! What a way to start the day ;-)

I must confess that the first time I saw one of these, Janet my lower jaw almost hit the floor!

I love the contrasting colours in the sky. The dark blue is the perfect counterpoint to the fiery reds, oranges and yellow. All the best, Joe
