Granite, rock samphire, lichen and Atlantic blue!

This is a gorgeous view - I love the yellow lichen on the boulders and those small flowers clinging for dear life on the rocks!!!

Thank you, Jenny. The yellow flowers you know are dandelions and the white ones are the flowers of rock samphire which only grows in such rocky places between 10 and 50 feet above the shoreline where there is plenty of salt in the air.
You certainly don't need to add salt when cooking it, preferably by steaming for a couple of minutes only and serving with unsalted butter, and best with white fish!

Yes; nothing can be lichened unto it.

I maybe overdid the saturation in those days! It seemed right to me at that time but perhaps it wouldn't seem so now. The colours were naturally very vibrant that day! Wishing you any yours a wonderful Christmas, Jeff.
