Andy Rodker club has replied to Leon_Vienna clubWell, ling (which looks similar) blooms in spring and is the same colour. Bell heather blooms a month or two later and lasts throughout summer and autumn.
You remind me of Angelika who always used to tell me off for not taking the top of the photo to below the horizon. For me, both can be good and both can be bad - it all depends on the context of the photo!
