Towanroath, Chapel Porth

Towanroath pumping engine house served Wheal Coates tin mine. The mines extended well below sea level and far out to sea.

Andy Rodker club has replied to M♥rJ Photogr♥phy !!… clubPlease don't be offended when I say that every time I post a photo of this place I get reminded of Poldark. Ever since the first episode in 1975 (I think!), I have been asked if I have watched Poldark.
Well, I seem to know everything about it without ever having seen a single episode!
I did read one of the original books back in the 70s and realised that it most definitely wasn't my scene!!!
The answer has to be a resounding 'NO', Marj!
But I respect what it has done for tourism in the Duchy!
Good. Got that off my chest!!
:o)
