Do you hold on to the rope or is it just to show the way? I'd probably be tempted to slide down on my backside;-)

Your choice! But it's a bit damp due to a small watercourse (which is how the previous path got washed away in heavy rain) -so I'd prefer to stay upright and use the rope!

Seems to be rather difficult to get down or to climb up, even with the rope !!!!

Really very easy either way! Its done by young families with all their beach and picnic gear as well as pensioners and others who know how easy it is! Fortunately, it is not known by too many people and isn't seen from above!!! So you get a beach almost to yourself!

For me; yes because it's the start (or end) of a 2 hour, coastal, low-tide, rock-hopping route I enjoy doing! For others it is getting down to a peaceful but beautiful beach (if you can ignore the idiotic antics of the rock-hopper!).
