Crater Lake

This view across Crater Lake in Oregon has Mount Scott in the background. There is a trail to the top of the mountain and a lookout there, but the road on that side of the crater was still closed by snow when we were there in June.

I'm spending some time to visit folks and say thanks for visiting my pictures while I was away so my reply to your warm posts will need to wait, I hope you don't mind! I did have fun putting together my first post since we got back, though it ended up being this morning rather than last night as I'd hoped. I tripped and fell into my abyss of pictures and by the time I dragged myself out it was just too late to try for any reasonable post. So, this morning! :D
Ok, I'll be back, probably tomorrow though I'm hoping for later tonight!
Here's the little blurb I'm dropping along with my comment to each person's picture I'm visiting...
I wanted to say thank you for coming by to visit my last picture(s) while I was away on my vacation without a chance to reciprocate. It was wonderful to get your response and attention, and meant a lot for me to be able to read comments if I had any internet connection at all. Thanks for making me feel so cared-about! (This is a copy-paste to everyone who commented on my previous picture...I wanted to make sure everyone got a thank-you!) :)
