A Valldemossa town scene

A scene taken whist visiting Mallorca in 2014. The streets are still quite, but every opportunity must be taken to dry the new washing in the warm breeze. Lots of railings and fences around here, all in the name of safety.

A lovely old town shot Herb.. I think a good bit of 'tele' zoom as here always brings things forward.. I have a bad habit of going wide - when in fact a viewer sees actually 'less' detail... Btw I have the recently new 28-60 it's not award winning quality but useful - and keeps the camera small...

I take your points David. I do like a bit of telephoto to bring this sort of stuff out. Wides are another thing altogether. I presume your 28-60 is for your full frame -as you say, a useful length.

I have never been to Mallorca and was struck here by a sense of "almost Tuscan" mixed with "somewhat Hellenic". The light is just beautiful and the hanging laundry adds movement and the feeling of a lived place. Very beautiful, Herb.

Thanks Peter. Yes all these from my 2014 collection. My 2020/21 selection is almost exhausted, as I am sure yours is too. I have enjoyed sharing these old holiday snaps and given those that do not know Mallorca some idea of what is there. Glad you liked them too.
