Ribblehead railway staion
Servicing the famous 'Settle-Carlise' railway route here is a distant view of its station (on the left) from the main road just below the Inn.

Placed here to accompany my adjacent photo of the 'Station Inn' and my Ribblehead viaduct captures. (PiPs)

There can't be many stations in England with a magnificent view like this one! The light is just wonderful, especially on the slopes of the mountain. Both buildings are perfectly placed in the frame and I like the dry stone wall.in the foreground.

I've seen the Ribble Viaduct images before........but it's always good to get a second look when they're so lovely.

No this is one by itself up here Keith Quite often the weather is dismal up here but on this day, I was lucky to see it with this background. I shall put more pictures of the viaduct here soon too from the day after I took this one. Of course, always happy when you like my views and work.

Cheers Peter. Yes, we both share a passion then for snow on the tops. March 24 can be very snowy indeed and even now in May I am hearing that snow may be present next week.
