A very elegant step through stile and a good place for your daily exercise, I hope you have a HFF and a pleasant weekend Herb. I don't think that is Hawthorne with the flowers being in bunches

Thanks for this Peter and your comment here realised my mistake in thinking it was a hawthorn tree. I have just passed the same spot again with my wife and she says it is definitely a wild cherry as apposed to the Japaneses cherry blossom which is that lovely pink. I have altered my description to show that now.

We have had great weather to enjoy these short walks Herb, and take some good pictures...as this one is. Not quite such good weather today, but the gardens are enjoying it! HFF.

This is really beautiful Herb, especially when viewed large. The light is is lovely and youi've captured the blossom in wonderful detail. I like the look of that fence too, but it looks like a tight squeeze through the entrance :-))

All our countryside walks are a few miles away...........which is OK for me, but my wife doesn't walk so well nowadays, so we'd have to drive - and the legality of that at the moment is questionable. I'm still finding plenty of things to photograph at the moment and I'm quite enjoying the challenge.

Another of my photos to please you Keith. Everything came together for this one. In actual fact, I walked passed this twice before realising that it would be a good HFF contender and so I ran back and got my camera for a third look.
Not too good when you have to drive a ways to get to such places as this and as you say, at the moment we are getting mixed messages about all that. I heard today that if our drive is considerably less than the walk distance then it is OK.... what!!!! - So I can drive three miles to do my ten mile walk? What about those drones and Corved police? (no joke really!)

Hi Peter, yes a nice post-card shot in reality. As you say, this whole stretch is quite flat really. It only goes about 2.6miles in total before coming to an abrupt finish just before the old station now a private home and then the old blocked tunnel. However there are a few good turn offs down valley paths that venture further. - Congratulations on getting it into the paper -you must be quite proud and of course I am glad that you have really got into your Nikon camera too.

Thanks Steve, yes it is good for a nice easy flat walk, with lovely boundaries of trees the full length but wide enough from you not to close you in. Many bikes and dog walkers use this. As said above its only 2.6 miles to its logical end from here but its also the gateway to many other paths. It has certainly come into its own in these times.
