This Reminds me of "Red crater " in the Tongariro Nation Park

We walked all the way up and through the Crater as a child What I can tell you the Scoria is as sharp as glass and just a lethal

That looks even more impressive Steve. I know NZ has got some most impressive volcano's. The only volcanic crater that I have walked up to was Vesuvius near Naples but when we got to the top we could not see anything for smoke and mist. The ground was hot beneath our shoes.

Yes, I like this more and more each time I look at it. Good that it has had another revival after some time in Panoramio. - we don't have enough free walls to hang up or frame all that I would like. My paintings are also vying for wall space! Eileen, my wife, does not like any clutter being a bit of a minimalist so our main lounge walls etc only have limited hangings of paintings etc. Glad you liked it.
