Tern fence

A soon to disappear set of fences here in Morecambe as work is shortly to start on a new Northern ‘Eden Project’ on the green land behind the fence. Hopefully the fence will still be reused and put to good use somewhere else as it is a very pretty one, tying in with the modern sea-bird theme along this big promenade. At my back, the sea beckons.

Nice to see you Lothar. From what I heard on the news last night, it seems that 25% of our UK mammals face extinction. Maybe these iron seagulls will be our only reminder of birds too, some day? Glad you liked it.

Obviously the passage through the fence was built later. This also called into question the effect of the fence itself. ;-)

Theu will probably want to do that David, but knowing how our councils and workmen do the job, it will probably end up as scrap-iron? Enjoy the weeks ahead. I understand the problem with your tablet -I have the same problem with my phone and Ipad on such escapades :)

Hi Peter. Can't remember trying the cafe at Cornwall but since not a sod has been turned over here yet - we can have no idea. In any case the splendid Midland Hotel next door has great foods -at a price. Glad you liked this anyway.

Thanks for another visit and fine comment Colin. To be honest, Morecambe needed to be revitalised a little and these fences were part of all that, some years back now. they sure looked very nice and it is to be hoped they survive in some way.
