You beat me to the mapping David. Look for Letterfrack on GE -see the pier in the nearby inlet to the south. Very happy you like this. The lighting here was difficult to capture as I had bright sun from my right. This shot heralds the start of our '12 pins mountain drive. Title and description edited now Dave

Hi Peter, always good to see you here. A great spot this, but I was not very happy with the light going into the camera and so tried a different editing technique, hence, I think the comparisons with CT18, which I remember with mixed feelings.

An exceptional image Herb..........I love the composition especially. The trees on that outcrop of rock look very delicate, but beautiful................and of the course the mountain makes a very majestic backdrop.

Thanks again Keith. The sun was shining on us here. I liked the reflected trees here. My Tokina lens had a job coping with the light on this contre-jour. We got almost to the base of Diamond Hill, at a big visitors centre but that climb was not for us on that day with so much to see. Glad you liked it pal. ~ Herb

My first thought was Wales, due to the every common bare topped hill (Moel in Welsh), but your great information put me right! No matter, I like it!!
