Ich kenne das Death Valley nur bei unglaublicher Hitze und Trockenheit, und bin über die Eisbildung sehr erstaunt. Ein sehr beeindruckendes Phänomen.

Gisela, ja, das ist tagsüber so. Aber in der Nacht kann es erstaunlich kalt werden. In den Wintermonaten kann die Temperatur nachts unter den Gefrierpunkt sinken.

Im Juni 1988 hatten wir "lächerliche" 23°C, auf früheren Reisen war es bedeutend heißer...

Uli, ich war zweimal im Death Valley, und es war beide male tierisch heiss! Einmal haben wir sogar den "Spiegeleitest" auf der Kühlerhaube gemacht. :-))
