Not much editing at all. The original background was grey and I adjusted it to get a better match to the colour of the flower. I also added some contrast and a little sharpening.

Iwas asking because the flower has such a soft touch.

I see what you mean, maybe my focus was a little off, but it's doesn't bother me :-)

We've had the odd bit of sunshine, but the year so far has been mostly rain..........in record amounts. It's been bad here in the South, but much worse in the north of England and in Scotland. Still, you know us Brits...........we love to complain about the weather :-)))

Sadly the wind and rain spoils many Spring flowering bulbs, but it wasn't wasted you created a beautiful image Keith

It lasted surprisingly well sitting in the kitchen in a glass of water Peter.........and I got a photo opportunity as well! Glad you like the resulting shot and thanks for stopping by.

The vase is so beautiful...it almost overshadows the beauty of the hyacinth

Thanks Judite............I found it in a charity shop, which is where I get most of my "props" from. Eventually I'll donate it back to a charity shop for someone else to find and buy.
