I do as well Güni............painting and drawing are skills I've never been able to develop.

Chichester is quite popular with artists as it's a beautiful old city.

That's pretty much me as well Herb.......sometimes it can be a little embarrassing taking photos in public. I've got used to that, but I could never paint in public like this artist.

Keith, do you recommend Chichester for a daytrip from London? I've never been there.

I do. It's only around 90 mins from London Victoria station. You have the Cathedral, the Bishop's Palace Gardens, and a nice canal walk. There's lots of shops and restaurants and there is a street market on Saturdays. You can also walk round the outside of the city on the original Roman walls. There is also a beautiful old Guildhall in Priory Park. It also has a decent museum and a world-class theatre.

I would do a bit of research on the web before you come and plan a route. I would give it a miss during the school and university holidays though as it gets very busy!

Yes............people in Chichester are mostly really nice and I think they're used to the occasional street artists.
