Hard to be a photographer's companion when you don't take photos... why not try to put a camera on her hands? If she becomes addicted it will be a win-win !

Jackie used to take lots of photos, but other than transferring them to her iPad she wasn't interested in them. She eventually admitted she was only doing it to try and please me.........and has given me her camera to play with.

She now takes a good book with her and finds a bench to sit and read while I wander around taking photos.

So you are both having pleasure in your own way !
