A great sewing gear image, Keith. My late wife bought an Elna (I think the model before this one) shortly after we were married, it was a great machine.

Für 52 Jahre schaut auch deine Nähmaschine noch richtig toll aus lieber Keith,da hat sie euch sicher was abgesehen,ich freu mich,dass ihr diese gemeinsame Zeit noch immer verbringt,das passiert heute leider nicht mehr so,das so zusammen gehalten wird und wenn man deine schöne Vorstellung dieser Nähmaschine sieht,da kommt auch diese Freude rüber,toll hast du das wieder umgesetzt und sie hilft euch heut noch bei Reperaturen :))

We got married very young and everyone said it wouldn't work..............we're still proving them wrong!

My wife worked in clothing factories when she left school, and so became quite proficient with sewing machines. The Elna cost me the equivalent of around a months pay back then, but it has served us well.

I thought it was your new hobby Keith When you couldn't get masks I did manage to make some the stitches wandered about somewhat !!!

I used to actually use a sewing machine Peter, I was taught while I was in the RN to make flags. I haven't used one for 50 years or so though :-))

My wife made us and some of our family masks during the Covid pandemic.

Ein nützliches Utensil, wenn man damit umgehen kann.

I've pretty much forgotten all I knew Wiilhelm...........my wife is the expert!

I admire people who can sew, make clothes and artistic items. We had one member in ipernity who was used to it too. I am so clumsy I can't even hold a needle without pinching a finger, so ... your wife is a great artist !

My wife doesn't use it as much as she used to Isabel...........but she knows what she's doing when she does!
