Racton Monument
Looking across the fields to this old folly in West Sussex. I've photographed this many times over the years, but it's nearly always possible to find a different perspective or a change in the surrounding countryside, depending on the crops and time of the year.

Thank you very much Tanja. There is a public footpath which takes you directly to the folly. Unfortunately over the years it has become a hang-out for alcohol users, druggies etc. It smells strongly of urine (and worse) and it full of old needles, and the unsavoury litter.

There has been a lot of talk over the years of it being cleaned out and properly restored, but nothing has happened..!!

Manchmal braucht man in der Landschaftsfotografie einen Aufhänger, der die Landschaft erst interessant macht. Dieser Turm erfüllt diese Funktion. Ich erinnere mich an eine Aufnahme mit Rapsfeldern. Die Landschaft hätte ich jetzt nicht wiedererkannt, den Turm schon.
Eine schön gestaltete Aufnahme, Keith!
