Your description under this lovely, sunny photo made me laugh at myself! Mods? Oh, I know what those are - forum moderators! - because I used to be one for Google. Yay! Wrong. it's the British word Mod, which I would have known if I'd clicked on the link first. We knew the word, but didn't generally use it. I think your early mods were the equivalent of our beatniks - who were only distantly related to later hippies and punks.

Keith, you often force me to do research. Yes, force...not inspire. ;-b

Ha, ha.........sorry for "forcing" you to work Diane.........but you love it really!

Glad you like the shot...........it was a perfect example of being in the right place at the right time!

I'm not sure about your comparison to beatniks........these guys could be really violent. There's another interesting article here: www.ultimate-guitar.com/articles/features/the_war_between_mods_and_rockers-63343 if you can manage a bit more research :-))
