This is such a lovely, artistic departure from anything I've seen from you, Keith! I loved reading about your inspiration, and I think your presentation is fantastic! It's colorful, fun, compelling and interesting to think about. Grats on your new light box, you are off and running away with first place on your first attempt! :)

In this case a light box is just an A4 sized sheet of acrylic embedded with LEDs. When plugged in it gives a bright white light. You can put stuff on top of it (as I did here) or use it to light small objects to photograph them.

My one is only a couple of mm thick, so is not strictly a box, but it works just as well. You could probably build your own with some LEDs or a fluorescent lamp!
