Compass Jellyfish

Taken in the waters around Skokholm Island.
I've already posted an image of a similar jellyfish which is posted here: www.ipernity.com/doc/keithburton/47102694/in/album/1190596
This is a different image to which I've added a subtle texture and a vignette. I hope you like it.
I've already booked my next visit to Skokholm for July next year :-)
Best viewed large, on black. Thank you for looking.

Keith Burton club has replied to ╰☆☆June☆☆╮ clubBy the way...I don't know if you have seen or read any of the articles I've written here on ipernity, but the one I'm linking to you now is a very special one, and exactly topical, which I think you will really enjoy. You'll need a few moments to read this story, but I think you'll enjoy the experience I've related. www.ipernity.com/blog/290645/538477
Keith Burton club has replied to Janet Brien clubThanks for the link. Such a lovely story...............and a wonderful experience (even with the panic attack). My only experience that would come near to that comes from when I was in the Royal Navy and enjoyed a "Hands to Bathe" session for the first time. Here's a link to explain: www.forces.net/news/tri-service/hands-bathe-extreme-swimming-board-ship
Janet Brien club has replied to Keith Burton clubThank you very much for the awesome link! I loved the article, pictures, and videos. I have never heard of "Hand to Bathe" though I have seen this portrayed in one of my all-time favorite movies, "Mr. Roberts". It is so cool and see you leaping off your ship in my mind's eye. What an experience it must have been! Especially because you were probably not a scuba diver and thus, some of the frightening aspects of being in the ocean would not be there. Did you get to do that many times? It had to be memorable every time. I know that each time I have splashed down off the edge of a dive boat, come up spluttering and bobbed on the surface like a cork--or not if my BCD (floatational vest) was not properly filled with air beforehand--it can be a bit alarming if there are any waves to push you around. But once we descend, it is suddenly calm and amazing down there...and thus begins a new cool experience...
Thanks again for sharing. I love the privilege of knowing you, Keith. You and your wife are remarkable and wonderful people, and your appreciation of my photography leaves me glowing. I truly loved your response to my picture (and writing) today, of the water-filled wasp gall, and I burst out laughing and loved that you thought it must be an alligator egg---I WISH!!-- :D :D Anyway, thank you for your thoughtful comments, you have most certainly made my day! :) *big hugs*
Ein sehr schönes Foto, Keith! Ich mag besonders die Zeichnung der Qualle und die Blautöne des Wassers.
