Yes, an Oak and sadly, snow is pretty rare on the south coast of England.

Perfect framing with the sculptural tree Keith. I particularly like the Lutyen bench, and the colours in the sky are beautiful, giving a lovely reflection. Thanks you also for the information. I reckon it's an oak isn't it?

Yummy, yummy, yummy!!! What's not to love about this picture! I tell you, sometimes it's like you've placed all the items necessary for an awesome shot! :) Perfect bench...perfect tree...perfect water...perfect bushes...perfect twinkling water...perfect ducky house, and perfect folly! LOL...PERFECT! Hey, what's a "folly"? I shall look it up after I'm done with the word of the day in regards to you: PERFECT! :)

Janet you guessed! I carry loads of props around with me in a large trailer. It's always a problem with the live animals and birds though :-))

Nicely composed winter image Keith, the light on bough is beautiful and makes the excellent composition even better, amazing how many places have follies money was certainly no object to the few.

I could not conceive with the mind, such an attractive site. That tree is a prodigy and the environment really pleasant. I would sit down to read a book while I listen to the frogs sing.

The old oak, the bench and the folly all add to a very successful composition!
The duckhouse reminds me of the scandal many years ago when a Tory MP had an elaborate duckhouse for his garden pond built on expenses;-)
