Season's Greetings!

Season's Greetings!
Thank you to everyone who has looked at, commented on or made a favourite of my photos over the past year!

Like many others across the world all our Christmas and new Year plans have been cancelled. We'll not be able to celebrate with anyone outside our own household. (We're in England Tier 4). Nevertheless, my wife and I intend to eat, drink and be (very) merry. I hope you're all able to do the same :-)

Above all, stay safe and well..!!

(This is a re-post of a photo taken in 2011 - hoping to be able to post fairly recent photos again soon)

Gudrun, Andy Rodker, Peter G, Fred Fouarge and 16 other people have particularly liked this photo

What a lovely card, brilliant! I hope you have enjoyed your quiet Christmas and are keeping safe and well!
We have had a strict lockdown and nightly curfew since mid December, our federal state reacted earlier than most of Germany. I guess lockdown will be prolonged and get even stricter because of the "English" mutation.

We had quite a few plans for Xmas.........but in the end we just spent it quietly indoors on our own.

Our Government allowed people to meet up indoors over Xmas............and we're paying the price for it now with hundreds of new cases and deaths. To be fair, no matter what the Gov said people were going to do what they wanted anyway. I hope they're all happy now!

Non-compliance with rules also is a problem in Germany.
Added to this we have 16 federal states and some of them always want to do their own thing. So as usual general stricter rules were again watered down yesterday even though the lockdown was extended. Some minister presidents seem to think they cannot sell tougher measures to their populace. Reportedly Merkel was livid...

Yes, That's what I do too but not often enough and I do it alphabetically and then next time in reverse but it means those in the middle get missed more than the others! (you're slap bang in the middle, Keith!).

We have some confusion when N.Ireland, Wales and Scotland do their own thing, but nothing too serious. I can see how difficult 16 states might make things...............it also makes you wonder how countries like the USA with 40 states manage..!!

Still, now we have several vaccines available, we have hope - provided people remain sensible!
