St Mary's Church, North Marden, West Sussex

Happy Fence Friday everyone. Thank you for all your visits & comments and/or yellow stars over the past week. Please view large on black. Thank you.
This image was taken around a month ago, before Lockdown v2.0 and in much better weather!
St Mary's is believed to have been founded by Geoffrey, son of Azo, late in the 12th century. It consists of an undivided nave and chancel. The chancel has a semi-circular (apsidal) end, and is one of only six small churches in England that has one. Made of Caen stone, this was probably shipped across the channel to Chichester harbour and then transported by packhorse to North Marden.
Monthly children's services are held in the church which is lit by candles as there is no electricity.
