Tea pots

Tea pots
I've been a tea drinker every day of my life since before I was five

years old. Sixty years of it. I drink about three litres every day.

Maybe more. And all made from loose tea. As my grandfather used to

say about bagged tea: that's the stuff they sweep up each evening off

the floor in the tea factories.

Luckily, my wife's a tea addict, too. Thirty years ago, we discovered

that stainless steel tea pots are better than ceramic ones. This one,

on the left, has served us long and well, though its handle and its

cover have both been repaired many times. The handle is wrapped in

twine nowadays -- good insulation plus good grip.

But this morning its spout fell off! So I had to get out an older

ceramic pot. It's a good pot, too, but I'm looking around already for

a replacement steel one.
