Vital Spark!

Another image from the archives once again it's 2018, This is Loch Fyne at Inveraray Pier with the Clyde Puffer "Vital Spark" She was launched in 1943 as "VIC 27" (victualling inshore craft) These ships were a World War II derivative of the iconic Clyde-built puffers which, for nearly a century, were the lifeblood of coastal communities up and down the west coast of Scotland. She was the “"the smertest boat in the coastin' tred", with her blood red hull, shiny brass whistle and cargoes of anything from Heilan coos to furniture, and plenty of whisky. She also starred in the mini-series, Para Handy – Master Mariner I recommend a large view,,,,,,, HFF and a lovely weekend to all! I have a link to a programme on the Clyde Puffers for anyone who may be interested, www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXKCn_W9Mj0

Holy Walls

The Priory ruins on The Holy Island of Lindisfarne in this image from 2018, In 635AD Saint Aidan came from Iona and chose to found his monastery on the island This Island is off of the Northeast Coast of Northumberland, accessed by a One Mile tidal causeway, which is covered by the North Sea twice daily, therefore a study of tide times is required for a safe crossing. HWW and a large view is probably best! More information en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindisfarne

Fallen Moon.

Throughout history the world has been inspired by the moon and this moon is artist Luke Jerram's latest creation, In a corner of Bridgwater Docks before it should have started a nationwide tour. Storm Ashley sadly had other ideas and damaged the creation beyond repair, so all we have left are images, thank goodness for photography! HFF Friday, the fence is all around the dockside, A large view is much more rewarding! A beautiful link for Sight and Sound, www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJ6EGsZdxpE
