Hooded Crow! (Corvus cornix)
Caught in a sliver of sunlight and sitting on a gate overlooking Loch Dunvegan, Isle of Skye!
Scotland is apparently the only part of the UK mainland where these birds breed.
HFF and a large view recommended!

Unsavoury History
A moss covered bench on the seaward side of Tumpan Church,
Trumpan Church, Isle of Skye, which is probably from 1330s and it lasted until 1578 when the doors were barred and the thatched roof set on fire with a congregation of MacLeods at worship inside, this atrocity by the Macdonald clan was retribution for an attack on clan members on the isle of Eigg
The history and reason for this and the associated clans in these bloody massacres can be read here sobt.co.uk/trumpan-church
Better large in my opinion. ,,,,,, HBM and a nice week!
Tarbert, Lock Fyne!
A fishing village built at the head of an inlet of Loch Fyne called East Loch Tarbert, on a narrow isthmus which connects Kintyre to the south with Knapdale to the north,
It is known as the gateway to Kintyre!
HFF and a large view for clarity please!
The remains.
A section of Dunstaffnage Castle ruins,
The castle is built on an outcrop rock using what appears to be an odd mix of stone, (Large View) I think the colours of the stone in the wall to left are beautiful!.
The castle which was built before 1240 has a very defensive position having water on three sides, it covers from Firth of Lorn to the Pass of Brander also Ardmucknish Bay and the entrance to Loch Etive.
HWW to all!
Priddy Church in Winter Sun!
The parish church of St Laurence, Priddy, Somerset,
It dates from the 13th century, with some rebuilding in the 15th century and was restored in 1881–88; it is a Grade I listed building
Priddy is a small village on top of the Mendip Hills above Cheddar Gorge and the city of Wells.
HBM and a good week!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, image is better large in my opinion!

Clachan Sound
Clachan Sound from the Fairy Foxglove adorned wall of the hump back bridge at Clachan on the Isle of Seil which is one of the Slate Islands, slateislands.org.uk
Because both ends of the sound are open to the sea it is known as "The Bridge over the Atlantic"
I prefer a large view!
