The Old Man

A distant Old Man of Storr and the eastern end of the Isle of Skye's Trotternish Ridge from captured from the western side, Standing at 55 metres high, the ‘old man’ component of the name derives from the fact that when seen from the front, the rocky pinnacle and The Storr behind it create the face of a haggard and craggy old man. Roughcastle Tunnel,

Afternoon mist begins to form as the boat, Antonine, enters the Roughcastle Tunnel on the Union Canal, opened in 2002 as part of the Millennium Link project which connected the Union Canal with the Forth and Clyde Canal, www.scottish-places.info/features/featurefirst93836.html The boat Antonine's name is Roman, The Antonine wall was built by the Romans between the Firth of Clyde and Firth of Forth. 150000 Gannets, and a lighthouse.

Please view Large! The sight and sounds of 150000 gannets who nest on Bass Rock in peak season over the spring to autumn months. Is simply amazing! The Bass Rock is an impressive island/rock on the North Berwick coast in the Firth of Forth, east Scotland. Sir David Attenborough has described the Gannet colony at Bass Rock as one of the 12 wildlife wonders of the world. The Lighthouse is a 20-metre (66 ft) tall, built in 1902,It has been automated since 1988, When viewed large the ruins of St Baldred's Chapel, built on the site of St Baldred's hermitage can be seen (center of the rock),,,,,,,,, HWW! Davaar Island Light

A fence with a view of the Lighthouse on Davaar Island at the entrance to Cambeltown Loch, Davaar is only an Island at high tide reachable by a shingle causeway called the Doìrlinn at other times, The lighthouse which is 20 meters high was constructed in 1857 and the light has a range of 15 nautical miles. It sits at an elevation of 37 meters Image shot in 16.9 therefore a large view is recommended, HFF and a good weekend!

The Red Tower

For over six centuries, The church of St Mary the Virgin, has been the focal point of the village of Stogumber, The tower which was begun in the fourteenth century, is built of red sandstone, but differing styles indicate church extensions over the years! Stogumber is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, on the eastern flank of the Brendon Hills. It also has a station on the West Somerset Railway. A large view for detail!
