Autumn leaves and Spring Blossom
Seen in a garden this morning, Mid November blossom,
Not the best quality but taken on a cold, wet and very dull day at distance with my pocket camera,
It will probably enlarge , HWW!
Lunch Break,
With the dramatic Island of Arran as a backdrop these lovely ladies were taking a lunch break on the quayside at Carradale, which is the eastern side of the Kintyre peninsula, They spent a while chatting with my wife and were happy for us to take photographs,
This is 16.9 format so a large view would be appreciated. HBM and a nice week ahead!
Spires and Turbines.
The town end of the large harbour at Girvan, South Ayshire, showing the trawler Argonaut on the shipyard slipway, and the RNLI lifeboat mooring center of image.
The spire on the left is the North Parish Church and the right hand tower is Stumpy Jail, it was built in 1827. It has survived 2 World Wars and is still standing as a tribute to the craftsmanship of its Victorian Builders.
In 16.9 format therefor a large view will probably be required for detail, HFF and a good weekend.
Three Lochs in the Mist!
Eilean Donan Castle in a September mist, Loch Duich from the left, Loch Long from the right, Loch Alsh, the Isle of Skye and the sea center,
Original castle built in 1220, However because of involvement in the Jacobite rebellions early in the 18th century, government ships destroyed the castle in 1719. The present-day castle is Lieutenant-Colonel John Macrae-Gilstrap's 20th-century reconstruction of the old castle.
Large may help clarity, HWW!
Eurasian chaffinch,
This Chaffinch has spotted a tasty morsel possibly on the bench,
HBM and a good week!
Fence down the Middle
Another misty morning and another autumn image of Loch Carron at Plockton,
A large view perhaps, HFF and a good weekend.
Autumn Fly Fishing,
Late afternoon as the mist desends on Hawkridge Reservoir while the fisherman makes the most of the faiilng light!
Autumn comes a little late on this valley which is sheltered by the Quantock Hills.
HWW to all.
