Interesting study in textures and subtle variations of color. The various cylindrical volumes and the thin, straight band cause what you often refer to as tension. This isn't a quiet picture, but the forces that are moving are slow and steady.

Thanks, Bob. I restrained the colour somewhat. The original colours were a bit more saturated, which may have been a function of the light they were shot in. But I wanted to brighten it up, and the strong colours seemed unrealistic, then.

A fascinating insight into western society - oddly, because it's quite common to see concrete and steel. How would stone age man react if he returned for an outing? With envy, or horror?

I suppose people from the stone age would see the concrete as stone, although I suppose they would be surprised by the perfect cylinders. I suspect the people at Skara Brae would have envied anyone who used it -- their stone dressers required the assembly of many suitable stones (sort of stone age Ikea).

As for the metal, I don't know if they'd see it as a useful building material or as some sort of magic. Thanks for raising this interesting question.

It does annoy me that the bottom band is upside down...............and I suspect you may have rotated the photo deliberately :-))

Yeah, don't believe Trump when he complains about NAFTA (which is its name, not PUPUSA or whatever that monstrosity was that he came up with). NAFTA has been pretty much a push for us; trade hasn't changed much. You and the Mexicans are making hay, though, although the new NAFTA may be making things worse for your auto industry.
