Am Samerberg, Bayern gelegen bietet die 'Aussichtskapelle' traumhafte Rundumblicke über das Chiemsee-Alpenland. Links die über 100 Jahre alte Eiche, die zum 70. Geburtstag des damaligen Prinzregenten Luitpold gepflanzt wurde. Sie trägt den Namen Luitpoldeiche.

Auch für den letzten bayerischen König, Ludwig III., war der Platz an der Aussichtskapelle ein bedeutungsvoller Ort. Hier soll er sich nach seiner Entthronung von seinem Reich verabschiedet haben.
