Happy St. Patrick's Day

I don't usually bother with St. Patrick's Day. but happened to be posting a photo of a beautiful Hellebore flower and realized that its colour fitted today just right. I have lost count of how many times I've commented on other people's photos of Hellebore flowers, saying that I wished we got these flowers here. Well, I photographed these lovely green flowers at the Calgary Zoo, not knowing what they were. Actually, I almost missed them completely, as the green petals barely showed up against the green leaves. The result of a Google search took me to someone's Flickr photostream and I was thrilled to bits to learn that "my" flower was a Hellebore. Not a beautiful light pink or deep pink one like photos I had seen, but I was just delighted to have seen and photographed any colour.
