Rough-legged Hawk.

Sorry if the background, especially right behind the Hawk, does funny things to your eyes : ) Not the sharpest of photos, but it is so rare for me to come across a Hawk of any kind actually sitting on a fence post, that I'm posting this anyway. This was the only other wildlife I found on Sunday, when I went in search of a Northern Hawk Owl NW of Cochrane. Red Osier Dogwood (Cornus sericea) gives the pinkish blur. Heavily cropped, so very grainy.
I need to find a plumber today, as I have a blocked kitchen sink. Tried everything last night, from Draino, to a baking soda paste followed by vinegar and boiling water. Nothing worked, unortunately. Later: yay, I plunged and plunged and plunged and finally managed to get my sink unblocked. Such a relief!
