Grazie, Mariagrazia. E' davvero profumata e i calici dei fiori sono pelosi, cosa che, come vedi, in queste condizioni di luce fa li sembrare circondati da una specie di aureola luminosa, un effetto che mi era molto piaciuto. Le api li gradiscono e ce n'erano tante, ma quella in questa foto è stata così gentile da farsi cogliere parzialmente illuminata dal sole :)
Ho cercato la pianta online perchè mi sarebbe piaciuto metterla in giardino ma purtroppo ama il sole e il mio giardino è perlopiù in ombra. Si chiama "salvia russa" (Salvia yangii, nota anche come Perovskia atriplicifolia).

Thank you, George. There were lots of bees (I could smell the scent of this sage with my limited human nose, imagine them!), but this one really did me a huge favor by positioning herself in half light and letting her warm coloured body get contrasted against the cool colors of the vegetation.

Thank you, Christa. This plant has such a strong scent that even I could smell it way before I got to the fence. I imagine bees could locate it from a mile off !! They are fascinating little critters, with more energy than one could ever imagine to be packed in such a small body.
