Thank you, George. This is one of those pics that come from being at the right spot at the right time. It felt good to be able to put the work day behind me as I rode my bike home and got this unexpected glimpse of the city's trademark Dome :)

A fine scene here towards the river and Brunelleschi's Dome. The sun lighting up the dome and foreground grass makes this. Well done my friend.

Mostly a matter of being at the right place at the right time, but I will still take credit for trying to learn the tricks of the trade and remembering that a photographer needs to be aware of a particular light even when she's riding her bike home in the summer heat after a long day at work ;)

An unusual look at the Dome! :-)

Showing that light can put a bit of magic even in an otherwise rather unremarkable view of the city from the outskirts ... I love it when light does that!
