Viaduct at the end of the street.

Viaduct at the end of the street.
The locomotive is large prairie tank, #4144 leaving Bewdley with a train for Highley.

Hi Peter. this scene looks like it could be many places up here near Manchester too, but the days of steam railways have truly gone in most places up here. Once again you have managed to capture a time of nostalgia, whether it be from yesteryear or yesterday. Coincidentally, we were only watching my home made movie of the lines around Bewdley station on Friday night. Well done.

Hi Herb,
Thank you so much for your very kind visit.
I am so happy that you like the scene.
Perhaps somewhere I was inspired by the very early opening scene from Coronation Street, with the railway viaduct at the end of a street full of terraced houses.. To me, that sort of scene deserves smoke!
Best Wishes,

Thank you Steve,

Glad you like it, and well spotted on the pub.. Behind me (and a little closer) is another pub, with a rather politically incorrect name. I did think of taking a photo here, but the sign is not pictorial (only text), unlike the one of the same name in Caernarfon which has a few rather graphic pictures of 'Bachgen Du'. (although replaced with more socially acceptable versions in recent years).

Best Wishes
Peter
