did you see the news from Norfolk ? www.edp24.co.uk/news/sheringham-level-crossing-car-train-crash-1-5784057
Best wishes ... Steve
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteThank you for the enthusiastic comment, and the link. I have been to this crossing before.. www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/45464010 (you guys were on the train!)
I think the verdict is clear.. “I heard the level crossing flashing then there was a big crash." The guy in the car just didn't look, nor take heed of the flashing wigwags. No sympathy!!!!
Good news is that the locomotive wasn't damaged!
Best Wishes
Peter

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Herb Riddle clubYour visit is most welcome, as ever. I was hoping that the clouds would have gone by the time the train arrived, but unfortunately not, so did what I could on a cold dull morning...

I like the tones of grey! I can see a little bright sky, far away ... The yellow flowers look nice in fore ground... A beautiful composition! Of course most important is the steam train!!
You have done a very beautiful picture with the nice locomotive and such plenty of smoke !
YS!

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to gezginruh clubThank you so much for your appreciation! As you can see, the sun is trying to break through the clouds in the distance. Later it managed to do so,, but for the moment we have the big express locomotive heading north out of Bedford on a cold November morning, and some spectators.
Love Peter

What a lovely idea and a superb shot! You chose the perfect spot for a good perspective. A big star awarded from me!
Best wishes, Rosa.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Rosalyn HilborneThank you for your visit, the star, and very kind comment! As ever, it is much appreciated.
As you know, we do try hard to choose our locations for these steam trains to show them at their best, so I am so pleased you enjoyed the result
Best Wishes

I like the feeling of speed against the moody sky and the colour and shine of the locomotive,
Big time favourite without doubt.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubThank you very much!
You are right, it was early on a dull cloudy morning. The sun was just about breaking through the clouds on the opposite side, but would not do so fully for another hour.
I took the gamble that it would stay cloudy, stayed on the 'dark side', since the angle was better.
Glad you like the result!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter"
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Marije Aguillo clubThank you so much! I have a whole gallery full of such old locomotives, and you are welcome any time!
Muchas gracias! Tengo toda una galería llena de locomotoras tan viejas, ¡y todos son bienvenidos en cualquier momento!
Mis mejores deseos y un buen fin de semana.
Best Wishes and a Good Weekend,
Peter
