Fences on the lock gates. How many?

Happy Fence Friday!!
There are 6 locks in this immediate flight, with another one in the distance.
I am standing by the gate of No 42.
Also visible are the gates of 41, 40, and 39. Numbers 38 and 37 are too low for the gates to be seen.
Number 36 is in the distance.
Therefore there are 6½ pairs of lock gates immediately visible, with another two pairs in the distance (but you probably can't see those on ipernity processed picture)
The complete flight comprises 21 locks. See canalrivertrust.org.uk/places-to-visit/hatton-locks
Google maps and streetview show it very well.

Your visit in much appreciated. Thank you!
I'm happy that you had a good look!!
What struck me was the repetitive shape of the handrails on all the lock gates. So many of them.... SO I tried to line them all up along with the church spire.....
Best Wishes, slightly late HFF, and a Good Weekend
Peter
PS Answer above!!
Thank you for your most welcome visit
I am really pleased that you have enjoyed it, and taken the trouble to look and think.. I know it is difficult, as ipernity doesn't give the full detail as in the original..
It's also a shame that two locks in the immediate flight were too low to get their gates included..
None the less, a bit of fun... (I remember saying something last week about a harder challenge..!)
Best Wishes, slightly late HFF, and a Good Weekend

I am so happy that you like the scene!!
Wishing you a slightly late HFF, and a Good weekend.

PS Answer above!!
I have to admit I would give that stretch of the canal a miss....it must be really hard work going through them. They do make a very good picture though and deserves a star from me.
Best wishes, Rosa.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful visit. I too am sure that very few boats would go this way, for the time it takes...
I am very happy that you enjoyed the picture though!!
Best Wishes
Peter
