Dock Street, Penzance.

I used to like the Dock Inn. One reason was the fact that I would go with my Spanish brother-in-law and he enjoyed the banter with the Spanish fishermen who frequented this hostelry!
But in the 20 or so years since then, It has always been shut when I pass by. So I have no idea what it is like now.

The next pub down is The Dolphin. Not my fave but they have the advantage of being open, are family-friendly, their chip portions are humungous and so they get the thumbs up from my sister's Spanish family!
The Abbey Hotel. ... Owned by someone famous ... an Actress? A super model???
Jean Shrimpton comes to mind but I could be wrong. Do you know????
Ronald,
Larry,
Many thanks!
Andy Rodker club has replied to Rosalyn HilborneMy gran lived in Penzance for many years, Rosa and we stayed at her place when we visited Cornwall several times a year (this was before my parents moved from London to Cornwall 20 years ago). My sister's Spanish husband has very fond memories of our gran and he has to make a nostalgic trip to Penzance for a day at some point during their annual summer stay with my parents in Saint Day. It was his favourite pub too!
Ulrich,

Andy Rodker club has replied to Roger (Grisly) club(And believe me, Penzance has its fair share of them. It vies with St Austell - St Awfull in local-speak - for the 'honour' of having the highest unemployment rate in the Duchy!)
