Three in a row, For Pam!!

Shetland ponies on Treaga Hill, Ralph's Cupboard, Portreath.
There has been debate here and on Pano as to whether these are actually Shetland ponies with many members saying they are far too big. But all the literature, online info, signposts and notice boards say that they are and for want of any better evidence, that is what I will continue to call them.
Maybe the rich Cornish grassland has fattened them up a treat!

I'm still not 100% sure they are Shetland ponies but all the evidence suggests that they are! Cute, whatever they are correctly called!!
Best wishes,
Andy

I had a Shetland pony when I was a kid and they look small enough to me but I'm no expert.
Are these ponies feral/wild? On Assateague barrier island, south of Delaware, there are herds of wild "ponies" descended from survivors of shipwrecked Spanish ships hundreds of years ago.
Andy Rodker club has replied to L. L. Wall clubIntroduced about 10 years ago as self-funding industrial lawn mowers!
They are ponies, Wally and I believe they are Shetland ponies but many pano and now iper members are convinced otherwise. As Nick says, all the authorities and all the Cornwall County publicity refers to Shetland ponies. I agree they do look much smaller on the Shetland Islands themselves!!!
Andy Rodker club has replied to Clickity ClickWell the National Trust believe that they are Shetland Ponies grazing on their land Andy
Andy Rodker club has replied to Nick Weall clubAnd yes. They are Shetland ponies and I have been saying this till I am blue in the face these past 6 years!
