Wolf

These photos are all of animals we've seen coming into Yellowstone National Park from the east over Cody and through Sylvan Pass. Some of the photos were taken just outside the park, as was this, but all the animals can also be seen within the park boundaries and many of them wander freely in and out of the park, sometimes bringing about confrontations with those who live near the park. This wolf is the only one I've ever had opportunity to photograph though many of the other animals are seen near the roads and in the public areas of the park.
Ivica Truto, , Berny, Esther and 34 other people have particularly liked this photo

The wolf is fantastic...*********************
Have a nice weekend Ron.
With a stunning posture and profile!
Splendid, Ron!
RHH club has replied to LutzP clubThe bear...omg...I'm sorry but that one is totally chilling to me...it seems to be looking at you with a hungry gleam in its eye...yikes! GREAT SHOT though *runs away screaming*
Love the blackbird on the bison's back. Totally classic. Elk herd, totally cool gathering! Love the black-tailed doe, such a beauty. Finally, the coyote is super cool too! What a fine assortment for us to ooh and ahh over! :)
I'm going to finish putting my pictures up and then I'll be back! :)
Back again! I just put up my second metal-detecting show, full of fun stuff I hope everyone will enjoy!
It was fun to read about your asian market romps--they really are essential for certain ingredients unless you buy them online. Wasn't surprised you guys are up on the ridiculous price gouging at regular grocery stores. LOL, we both have May Ploy curry paste in multiple flavors...but of course! They really are quite different. Next time we go we'll get the Massaman flavor too. Especially with the curry paste, the price difference is totally incredible if you try to buy these at a normal store!
Book reading...that is a neat picture you described of your family reading inmasse! I used to be that avid a reader, but sadly I am no longer the worm I used to be. I got hooked on audios, which suited my active lifestyle but what I didn't realize was how much I was missing out on. Listening means you cannot stop and think about a passage, word, or situation. You cannot go back and reread a part you were unclear about or wanted confirmation on. You cannot pause and think about what you read. It took me YEARS to realize how much is robbed from the experience of reading by listening to the audio version.
So what I've begun to do is read physical books or ebooks when I can. I am trying to make time in my day to read and every time I do, I am so rewarded by the experience. I am not making rules about what I read-- just READ a book. Recently I read several ebooks books I'd missed as a kid, "Anne from Green Gable" and WHAT FUN they were!! I worked my way through about half the series when I finally gave up. Had enough for a while. Read the physical book "Paddle to the Amazon", a totally awesome real-life adventure of a guy who paddled his canoe, along with his son, alllllll the way to the mouth of the Amazon River. Totally insane. This is my 3rd time reading it actually! Then I read his second adventure, "Paddle to the Arctic" where I realized what a jerk he was, the fool nearly died but lived without the tips of his fingers or toes...*shakes head* I then began reading a book written by the woman who went on the foolish arctic adventure with him, her angle...it's quite good but I put it down when distracted by life and need to get back into it. Just the other day I started on a collection of interesting and chilling horror stories (Fruiting Bodies and Other Fungi)...only read the first story but it was great! Finally, when I was a kid, my favorite series was Little House on the Prairie and I found the set of ebooks online...I couldn't resist and I'm so glad. What a lovely story...I'm halfway through the first book and enjoying it so much. BONUS: because of the internet I can look up all the things she talks about...trundle bed, pig tails, pig bladder balls, johnny cake, and why salt doesn't melt in kerosene...etc etc...I am such a curious monkey, if only I'd been able to look this stuff up so easily as a kid, I'd be happy as a clam! Anyway, reading is simply delightful! :)
Your booze-making adventures sound like they'll be fabulous! Glad you had something nice to calm your nerves in regards to your ailing parents. Hope things are getting better over there...
Holy cow, 7 weeks of vacation. *shakes head* Americans get nothing unless they've been at a place for 20 years, it's just so unfair. Good for your daughter! :)
LOL, of course you and Nancy would use the Canada flag trick...it's just a winner of an idea. Not surprised, either, that you would have a horrendous American tourist story to share. It's the norm and not the exception, how embarrassing and shameful. :(
ROFLMAO on the reviews of parks from the idiots out there. It completely boggles the mind. Steve and I are always yelling out quotes from another moron who has something totally stupid to say about X (and that includes anything, not just parks). Gosh, is there any reason we spurn society so? Steve especially hates it when people leave answers to questions about products that are along the lines of "I don't know" or poor opinions based on shipping speeds. OMG...it's just...wow.
Ok, I'm out! Have a lovely day and do say howdy to your wife for me! :D

Yeah, I've been cooped up too...it's just so darn cold. Not freezing but "in your bones cold", so I just don't want to go out, though I really should. Once I get out of the habit of my daily walks it's tough to get back into it, meh!
Tonight Steve and I are going to see a version of "Whose Line is it Anyway" and one of the really famous guys will be there! Ryan Stiles, along with folks I am not familiar with--Dave Foley, Joel Murray, and Jeff B. Davis...we can't wait! That show reduced me to a quivering mass of tear-streaming hoots and cackles back in the first few years of its airing when it was hosted by Drew Carrey. We've been waiting like fiends for this, what fun! :) Is there nothing like a good laugh?!! :D
I see you've left me a whole BOOK to read on my latest picture, I am going to go enjoy it now! :)
