West Thumb Geyser Basin

The West Thumb Geyser Basin is near the junction of the Grand Loop Road and the south entrance road and is one the shore of Yellowstone Lake. This is the view from the upper side of the boardwalk across the basin and the lake to the Bighorn Mountains in the distance. The boardwalk circles around closer to the lake but that part of the boardwalk is hidden from view by the trees and the slope.
