Hidden Valley

Hidden Valley was one of our favorite areas of Joshua Tree National Park and we hiked the trails there twice. This photo was taken toward evening when the light enhanced the colors of the rock formations.

Your brother's odd story about taking pictures on the GGB makes me wonder what she was trying to accomplish? Maybe try to take the camera in the commotion? Crazy. I've never had that happen. I've noticed people scoping us out for our cameras but when we STARE at them, they go away. Also had people bump us as we are walking down streets but there's nothing to grab as we tuck everything away and our cameras can't be yanked free.
Glad to hear you didn't have mishaps with the morels. And you're right, false morels are obviously different, which is very nice. Some day we'll find the real deal! :D
