A golden walk

A golden walk
As autumn really takes a hold here in Oldham’s Tandle Hill Park, I am reminded how lucky I am to have such scenes on my doorstep. Having just returned from a trip to New England, USA, famed for its Autumn colours, we never saw scenes quite like this on our quick visit. It is said that this year is a good year here for Autumn colour as it has been so wet. It looks like that may be so.

I must admit that New England had far more red's in the trees though.

Yes. You have already caught some of that yourself too, I see. I wanted to see if I could still capture stuff OK with my half-broken camera and you see the results. More faffing about but better than nothing.

Oooh, you've outdone yourself with this one Herb.............the golden light is really lovely and I like the long shadows. The green and gold autumnal colours are beautiful and I also like the carpet of fallen leaves.

The walkers and their dog are perfectly placed and draw our eyes into the shot very nicely!

Definitely should be viewed large. 10/10

You are too kind Steve. I would just as eagerly swap this scene for a chance glimpse of what you see and capture in our Universe. We just enjoy different aspects seen from our planet. The scene here is relatively rare here but when we have it, I love it.
