Park Seagulls

Park Seagulls
A favourite roost for these gulls here at my local park. There are still signs of autumnal trees but that is nearly behind us now. However it is still nice to catch the light as we see here on this wall.
I am always amazed that there should be seagulls here as we are at least 47 miles from our nearest shoreline.

Cheers Roger. I think they are attracted here because people used to leave lots of crumbs and bread for the ducks but now notices ask people not to.

You can find seagulls on rivers and lakes. There they find to eat from people. That's wy they are so far from the sea.

It is a beautiful image. Seagulls dies consists of terrestrial arthropods and invertebrates such as insects and earthworms; and fish both salt water and fresh water. So the food is the thing drives them to places.

Ah yes and bread and chips too :) On our seaside resorts they are known for bombing tourist for their chips. As you say, food is everything as I see daily with our garden birds coming for yet more bird food from me.

A lovely old wall captured in beautiful light and shadow..........the details are superb and the bulls are the icing on the cake, so to speak!

There will be food around as long as people are around..............in which case there will always be gulls around :-)))
